George Jeffrey Children’s Centre is the SmartStart Hub for the City and District of Thunder Bay.

What is a SmartStart Hub? SmartStart Hubs are entry points to services for parents with concerns about their child’s ability to move around, perform daily tasks like feeding and eating, speak with and be understood by others, get along with others, and/or take part in daily activities.

Think of SmartStart Hubs as a front door to find and access developmental services for children and youth. We do all the work. Register with us, and we will connect the family directly to services and supports that their child/youth need. Depending on a family's needs, services may be provided by George Jeffrey or by other Partner Agencies.

What to Expect:

Complete this service request in moments, usually less than 5 minutes.

Once completed, the parent/legal guardian will receive a confirmation email, inviting them to book an initial intake phone call with one of our team members. During the initial intake call our team will help identify and connect with the services that fit the child's needs.
